PSU Pipe

PSU pipe is a high-performance thermoplastic pipe made from polysulfone (PSU) resin through precision extrusion technology. As the “basic model” of the polysulfone family, PSU pipes are known for their excellent high temperature resistance, excellent hydrolysis resistance, and semi transparent properties, making them an economical choice in the fields of medical, food processing, and chemical fluid treatment. The core difference between PSU pipe and PPSU pipe:
Higher cost-effectiveness: PSU performance is close to PPSU, but at a lower price, making it the preferred choice for cost sensitive projects
Slightly inferior impact resistance: PPSU has the highest impact strength in the polysulfone family, while PSU has good toughness but is not as good as PPSU
Steam sterilization resistance: Both can withstand steam sterilization, but PPSU can tolerate more sterilization cycles
PSU pipe processing and usage instructions
Extrusion process: PSU pipe production requires the use of extrusion grade resin (such as Youju F3050), with strict control of extrusion temperature to ensure dimensional accuracy and pipe quality.
Pressure resistance performance: PSU pipes can withstand pressures of 1.0-2.5MPa, and some reinforced structural designs can meet higher pressure requirements.
Connection method: PSU pipes can be equipped with PSU material flanges and joints to ensure consistency of system materials.
Precautions for using PSU pipes:
The recommended working temperature should not exceed 160 ℃, and the long-term performance is stable
Capable of withstanding steam sterilization, suitable for medical/food applications that require repeated sterilization
The semi transparent property is easy to observe, but long-term exposure to strong ultraviolet light may affect the appearance
Quality certification: Regular supplier products meet SGS and ROHS environmental requirements, and medical grade products require confirmation of biocompatibility certification
