PEEK tubing is a high-performance thermoplastic tubing made from polyetheretherketone resin through precision extrusion technology. It is regarded as an upgraded alternative to metal tubing (such as stainless steel and titanium tubing), featuring excellent properties such as high pressure resistance, high temperature resistance, and chemical inertness.
Although it shares the same origin as PEEK rods and sheets, there are significant differences in production processes and technical thresholds - tubes, especially micro-tubes and multi-cavity tubes, require higher extrusion accuracy.
PEEK tubing is the most technically demanding profile product within the PEEK family, combining the excellent material properties of PEEK with precise fluid channel functionality. Compared to the previously introduced rods and sheets:
Bar/plate material: suitable for machining into solid structural components (gears, bearings, seals)
Tubing: suitable for constructing fluid channels (HPLC tubing, medical catheters, oil and gas transmission pipelines)
